Walker Pentecostal Church's first goal is salvation of souls, and when the soul is right, other things begin to fall in place. That being said, the Church is the body of Christ and we desire to be faithful to do His work and look for opportunities to do so.

Romans 12:5  So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.   James 2:26  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.   Matthew 16:26  For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?   Matthew 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

We stand ready to help with spiritual counseling and addressing physical needs when possible.   This includes visiting and praying for the sick and shut-ins, helping with needs of the elderly, and other work and/or support group aid to help in providing a bridge over the troubled waters that sometimes rise up in our lives.  At Walker Pentecostal Church you will find a caring group of people - caring about each other and the world around them.  We've hosted and/or been involved in numerous jambalaya benefits for members of our church and sister churches as well, when unexpected funeral or other major expenses have occurred.  We believe in lifting up each other in prayer, and putting faith in action.  Other ministry efforts are addressed as the Lord shows us the need and provides the way.  We cannot offer hand-outs but are ready to give a hand-up whenever we can.  We have members with various talents and abilities - perhaps there is something we can help you with?  Feel free to contact us!  We will start with prayer and let the Lord lead from there.
